Answering your qüestions:

Is this compatible with WP 2.3.*?

Right now in WP 2.3 and up it’s half working (it saves the comments but it has no categories or tags support). I’m working in a new version that will adress these issues that will be released at the same time as wordpress 2.5. Stay tuned :)

There are still many problems with CoComment, but … is this better than CoComment?

It’s similar to CoComment but with Commentracker everything is stored in your own blog. So everything is under your control and you don’t have to rely on a 3rd party server. In addition your comments on other sites saved with commentracker are avaliable trought all other WordPress capabilities (search, archives, plugins, cumstimoize your theme display…)

In short, you have one central place where people can find all your writtings (in or ouside your blog).

I have followed the installation instructions carefully, but when I activate the plugin, it triggers a Fatal Error and won't activate. I'm using WordPress 2.2 and the Kotek-10 theme. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Veo que aún así el plugin se activa. Pero curiosamente me esta afectando en el login y logout.
Al hacer logout no lo hace dandome los siguientes errores:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/palosdec/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp_ct_plugin.php:1) in /home/palosdec/public_html/wp-login.php on line 12

¿Puede alguien decirme que está pasando?

Hola, sigo teniendo algunos problemas. No he podido entrar en la pagina de administración de mi blog.
He tenido que borrar el archivo del plugin para poder hacerlo.
Lo he subido de nuevo mediante FTP y al intentar activar el plugin me sigue dando el problema:
